Backpackers who want a room a few steps above a hostle, you’ll like this place, but only if you get a deal on the price. Positive: Bathroom was clean. Coffee was provided. Negative: Location was not suited to us. We hate bright lights and the streetlights right outside the window we’re hideous. Blackout curtains helped a bit. Traffic noise detracted from our peace, as well. The weird placement of the unnecessary second bed. One tiny saucepan. If there are people staying upstairs, you’ll hear their footsteps. We paid way too much for this place.

The Halibut House was perfect for our girl's trip to Seward! Everything was walkable from the unit!

Positive: Location, little kitchen sink counter. Negative: Too many furniture/bed for size of room; no place for folded clothes, door handle broken.

Avoid. Positive: Nothing Negative: The room smelled bad No comfortable sitting Space was filled with an extra bed that blocked the space

Would stay in Halibut house no 3 again if we were ever in Seward again. Positive: Great location near to train station and cruise terminal, comfortable unit for 2 or 3 people. Fully equipped kitchen. Very comfortable beds. David, the landlord has been very communicative and responsive from the day we booked till after checking out. As we had the whole day in Seward before our train journey, he offered to keep our luggage for us and delivered the luggage to the train station for us. Negative: Nothing.
